Fisher Pneumatic Diaphragm Operated Y Type Steam Turbine&Header  Drain Valve

  At startup of the turbine, the turbine drain valves are opened to insure that, at these low temperatures, any condensate that condenses in or before the turbine is immediately removed. As the steam temperature and pressure increase the drain valves are gradually throttled closed untial full power is reached. Once the turbine is in full operation the drain valves are fully closed and a tight shutoff is desirable.

  The drain valve service is one of the most severe application for any valve in a power plant.

Pressure range from ANSI Class 300lb to 4500lb

Temperature range from -100°F to 1200°F

Size range from 1/4"~4"

Design features:

1. Threaded bonnet, can be designed to be welded or removable structure          

2. Body and bonnet joint accurately machined.

3. Secondary throttling face design which reduces the erosion of sealing surface.

4. Intergral overlaying welding type seat.

5. Inclined stem and optimal runner design allows less fluid turbulence and higher flow coefficient values when compared to "T pattern" valves.

6. Special heat emission plate structure.

7. Hightly-density and shaped flexible graphite gasket.

8. Electric or pneumatic actuator is optional.
